Master’s Degree in Management and Digital Transformation

Our Department offers a tuition-free Master’s Programme (MSc) on “Management and Digital Transformation” since September 2021.

The Master’s programme “Management and Digital Transformation” aims to provide specialised knowledge in the fields of Data Science, Business and Organisational Management, and Digital Marketing. The goal of the programme is to specialise in methods and techniques of a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach and research, and to create a workforce with high theoretical training and technical knowledge capable of meeting the needs arising from the rapidly developing scientific progress, staffing private and public enterprises and organisations, as well as being the core of education and training of the social whole.

The Master’s programme leads to the award of a Master of Science degree with a specialisation in one of the following thematic areas:

Data Science
Business and Organisational Management
Digital Marketing and Innovation

It is the only Master’s programme in the Lasithi region of Crete and one of the few free ones in Greece in the most contemporary field of Management, Digital Transformation.

The duration of study for the award of a Master’s degree is defined as full-time attendance of three (3) semesters, two semesters with courses, and one semester for the dissertation (Maximum duration of study in the Master’s programme). The teaching of the courses are conducted in-person. For the award of the Master’s Degree, a total of ninety (90) ECTS credits are required, of which sixty (60) pertain to the courses over two semesters and thirty (30) pertain to the dissertation.

Our Department also offers a second Postgraduate Programme: the Inter-institutional distance learning master’s programme with Neapolis University Paphos, focusing on “Data Analysis and Financial Technology” .

The Postgraduate Study Programme MSc in Data Analytics and Financial Technology is a joint Inter-university Degree Study Programme between the Department of Administrative Science and Technology and Department of Accounting and Finance of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (GR) and the Department of Accounting and Finance and Department of Computer Science of Neapolis University Pafos. It leads to a joint Master’s Degree of Studies of the two Higher Education Institutions without requiring a recognition process by D.O.A.T.A.P. The programme is aimed primarily at graduates of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and Computer Science.
